On March 7, 2006, we successfully completed a heart surgery operation under the external circulation for a patient who had Congenital Heart Disease, Tetralogy of Fallot and Fossa Ovalis Opening.

Patient Miss Wang, female, 35 years old, who is a farmer living in the suburb of Jilin. The patient had the symptom of convulsion after activities 30 years ago. Her heart was found to have soufflé in the local hospital, but she didn’t do more examinations or accept any treatments. After activities her face and lip appeared livid purple. She liked crouching and had weak physical strength and activity stamina. Her heart began to palpitate after some activities from last year.

During the operation, the turn of tidal stream under the external circulation takes 135 minutes, and heart beating stopped for 91 minutes. After operation, the patient was settled in ICU. At present, she was disengaged from the breathing machine. Everything of her was steady.

Up to now, Bohua Hospital have completed 21 Tetralogy of Fallot operations, nearly a hundred operations of Congenital Ventricular Septal Defect, Atriar Septal Defect, Trilogy of Fallot, Tetralogy of Fallot, Patent ductus Arteriosus, artificial valves replacing, CABG, cardiac tumor, etc.
